The main aim of the project is to identify and analyze how contemporary young people in Italy today project into the future and how this informs young people’s current lives, strategies and multiple transitions. Futurity is understood and analyzed as a complex field made of various forms of anticipation (aspirations, hopes, expectations, projects, dreams) connected in multiple configurations. Together with gaining further insight into Italian youth Italian youth, the project aims to contribute to the theoretical and methodological understanding of futurity. The project involves four Italian Universities: Cagliari, Milano Bicocca, Calabria and Napoli Federico II and is coordinated by Giuliana Mandich (University of Cagliari).
